In addition to its fascinating storylines, Game of Thrones is also known for its double acts. Whether they’re traveling for days or months together, the characters have to rely on one another for survival, and there are many iconic moments between them. Aside from watching Game of Thrones, playing on sites like 겜블시티 가입 방법 is also a wonderful hobby.
In the early seasons, Bronn and Tyrion made an excellent duo and that’s just one iconic duo from Game of Thrones. Throughout the series we got to witness some of the most memorable friendships. Here are some of the greatest duos in Game of Thrones who made the rank in no particular order:
1. Arya Stark and The Hound
Arya was kidnapped by The Hound in season 3 and she was to be sold her back to her family. They eventually came to a deep understanding. Although there were some funny moments, they helped each other to grow as characters. It’s clear that the two of them wouldn’t be the people they are today if they hadn’t shared their journey together.
2. Daenerys Targaryen and Jorah Mormont
This duo, like many others on Game of Thrones was not meant to last. We’re not talking about the little blip in the show.
Jorah set out to protect Dany and that was exactly what he did during Battle of Winterfell. He gave his life to save her. Dany was driven mad by his death.
3. Bran Stark and Hodor
We finally discovered why Hodor could only speak one word and what it meant just before he died. Bran had warged into Hodor while White Walkers attacked him in the present. Hodor and Meera managed to free Bran, but the White Walkers were far too fast. Meera instructed Hodor to “hold the door” in the present. This reverberated back into history and a young Hodor began shouting it until it became “Hodor.” His only purpose in life was to be named. This was a heartbreaking end to a relationship.
4. Brienne and Podrick Payne
Brienne and Podrick Payne made the show to the end with their friendship intact. Brienne was appointed Lord Commander of King Bran’s Kingsguard, and Pod became one of her Kingsguard knights. They are coworkers for the rest of their lives.
5. Tyrion Lannister and Varys
Varys realized that Dany wasn’t the queen Varys imagined her to be. She was making poor decisions and displaying signs of being like her father. Dany executed Varys just as Varys began sending out birds to undermine her. Not only this, matters get worse. After being friends for many seasons, Tyrion informed Dany about Varys’ treachery.
6. Bronn and Jaime Lannister
Bronn and Jaime were not immediate friends. Tyrion introduced them to Jaime when he needed help with swordfighting with his off-hand, after he had lost his sword hand. Bronn gave Jaime a sense back of purpose by helping him fight with his off-hand.
7. Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo
They had a tragic ending. Although their marriage was planned, they formed an honest bond on the Dothraki Sea and Dany became pregnant with their child. Drogo was injured in a fight, and the wound became infected. He was already dying. Daenerys was desperate to get her lover back. She allowed a witch to use her magic on Drogo. However, Drogo ended up in a coma and Drogo’s unborn child died. Dany set fire to her lover’s corpse on a pyre. This led to the birth of her dragons. One of them was named after him.
8. Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne
This was one of those friendships with a happy ending. We wondered if Tyrion, who was accused of poisoning Joffrey, would ever see them again. But they did. The end came in Game of Thrones Season 8 when Pod joined Kingsguard and Tyrion was made the hand of Bran Stark.
9. Arya Stark and Jaqen H’ghar
Arya Stark and Jaqen had some of the most iconic moments in Game of Thrones. They first met while being taken to the Wall and Arya ended up saving Jaqen’s life and that resulted in Jaqen helping her escape from Harrenhal. Post which we found out that he was a Faceless Man and the bond between them was created and she ended up going back to him once her family was destroyed, so that she could become like him and take revenge.
10. Bronn and Tyrion Lannister
Bronn and Tyrion are one of the most iconic duos in Game of Thrones and many would rate them as the best. They first met when Bronn volunteered to fight for Tyrion, figuring that there might be money in helping him. They forged a friendship after Bronn defeated Vardis Egen during his trial at the Eyrie and continued to drink together throughout the series, with plenty of banter. Bronn and Tyrion were an excellent team, but the show was far from their final encounter, and their friendship is a fond one.
